MEMBERSHIP

Amigos de Sian Ka'an is a private, Mexican, non-profit organization, established on June 5, 1986, to support the conservation of Quintana Roo' s natural resources, with special emphasis on the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, working to mantain the natural processes of nature in harmony with human development.

Amigos mission is: "the conservation of biodiversity and the maintenance of the ecological processes for the benefit of present and future generations".

Quintana Roo 's flora, fauna, water, soils, forests, wetlands, coral reefs and local communities are part of our natural heritage. Their preservation is a shared responsability. Thanks to generous contributions from local and international private citizens, businesses, organizations and institutions, Amigos de Sian Ka'an has been able to develop and implement successful conservation and management programs.
